Small Mercy

Here's another look I did on holiday that I couldn't be arsed to photograph, so I'm re-doing it now! I'm getting a sense of deja vu about it, so it's probably similar to something I've already done. That, or my brain is just going crazy since I HAVE done this look before, but on holiday. -_-

Products:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Revlon Creme Shadow Quad in Sunsparks

    • Blue shade all over the lid as a base
    • Green shade along the lower lashline as a base

  • Shiro Cosmetics Team Rocket - lid + crease
  • Morgana Minerals Alchemy - crease (mixed with Team Rocket)
  • Shiro Cosmetics Acid - lower lashline
  • Silk Naturals Sonic - inner corner highlight
  • Sugarpill Bulletproof - to tightline
  • Avon Supershock mascara

Argh I'll try to have my picspam post ready sometime before Wednesday next week, since I still have over 500 photos to edit (which I cant bring myself to do right now D:). I'm going to see Hellyeah on Saturday night to review them, so my weekend will probably be taken over by that unfortunately.

On a random note, in one of my uni lectures today we were talking about social entrepreneurship and creating causes, and I brought up the MAC Aids Fund and their recently created cause for the women of Juarez - when I only read about the latter on PinkSith's blog this morning! :D now whoever says my makeup obsession hobby is trivial will get falcon punched.

Your Soul, My Love

This was my favourite look that I wore on holiday, and I couldn't wait to recreate it when I got back. All the colours just worked so well together and were incredibly easy to blend, even in less than ideal conditions. I should've used Peach Bellini gel liner as a base for Raid the King though, because it would've made it just that bit more neon. So yeah, expect another (almost) neon coral look in the near future :)

Products:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Revlon Creme Shadow Quad in Sunsparks

    • Coral shade all over the lid as a base
    • Green shade applied along the lower lashline as a base

  • Hifi Cosmetics Raid The King - lid
  • Hifi Cosmetics Butterfly Wings - crease
  • Hifi Cosmetics Raw Shock - lower lashline
  • MAC Nylon - inner corner highlight
  • Sugarpill Bulletproof - to tightline
  • Avon Supershock mascara
So the general consensus was that I should do a gigantic picspam post for my holiday photos, which I hope to get up by the end of the week. I've edited just over 500/1200 pics, so hopefully I can get through the rest in the next few days without my brain exploding :|

And omg, everybody say hi to one of my irl bff's and favourite crouching asian, Peachy Perfect! She's been a long time lurker of many blogs, and has just started her own to make stalking easier >;D

I'm Baaaaaaack

Well technically I've been back for a week and a bit, but I've had a lot going on. It was my birthday on the 17th - the day I got back - most of which I spent sleeping. Then my friend and I had a joint old-people themed 20th birthday party on the 18th, and I spent the rest of the week either working orientation at uni, or spending as much time with friends as possible before we all head back :)

I didn't end up doing that much makeup while I was on my holiday, the lighting wasn't too great and I could never tell if my eyeshadow was blended properly LOL. Plus the humidity totally wore me out, so I opted to just be a sweaty man for the second half of the trip. I've been doing a few looks since I've been back though, some new ones and some recreations of the looks I did on holiday.

Just so this isn't an all text post ;]

Now for a question: would you guys like to see any photos from my trip? They'd probably be of random things like the Petronas Towers and elephants, with my disembodied hand occasionally making its way into the shot. Or y'know, of my ostrich bff up there ^

And if you do want to see photos, would you rather see a few at the end of each EOTD post for a while, or all lumped into a gigantic picspam post? I took over 1000 photos on the trip (obviously I won't be posting anywhere near that much) so one gigantic picspam post might end up turning into 10. x_x

And just a word of warning: I took advantage of the much cheaper prices and bought a fucktonne of MAC on holiday. I still much prefer ze indie brands, but you might be seeing a few MAC products make their way into my looks every now and then <3 so don't be too disturbed, haha.

Brb, Going To Malaysia

I've scheduled this post in advance, so by the time you read it I will probably be on the way to the airport to catch a 9am flight to Malaysia!

I'll be gone from the 7th - 16th of July, and am not sure what my internet access will be like there - I'm thinking I'll be squeezing in time at the internet cafe when I can, since nobody wants to take their laptops. As a result, there won't be any posts between now and then, because I can't be arsed to schedule any XD plus I like teh interactionzzzz so I'd feel weird about that.

After I get back I'll probably need a couple of days to recuperate, then it's my birthday on the 17th, and joint birthday party on the 18th , where we're making our friends dress up like old people ! Then I have some uni stuff the next couple of days, and hopefully after all that I can resume posting and stalking you slappers.

See you on the other side, and hopefully there won't be any motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane

Here's an eye look using HiFi Cosmetics! A while ago I purchased Veronica's blogger sample kit to try her stuff out, and not long after I made another purchase for 10 samples. They arrived the other day and I'm having so much fun playing with them :3

Malibu

I've been dying to do a look like this for ages, ever since Vintage Or Tacky posted this Starburst look on her blog. I opted for an orange instead of a red in the crease, and as you can probably tell I'm obsessed with this colour placement at the moment :)

 Products:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Peach Bellini gel liner - all over the lid as a base
  • Sugarpill Dollipop - lid + lower lashline
  • Sugarpill Flamepoint - crease
  • Sugarpill Buttercupcake - upper crease
  • Sugarpill Tako - inner corner highlight
  • Silk Naturals Sonic - inner corner highlight
  • Sugarpill Bulletproof - to tightline
  • BYS black kohl liner - lower lashline
  • Avon Supershock mascara
Ugh I've been having such photo and makeup fails lately :( if I do a look I like it photographs like absolute shit. And other times I'll just sit down and try out gorgeous colours and then they decide to look like poo on me. *sigh* hopefully I'll break out of my rut soon and have a tonne more looks to post.

Satyr

Here's an all matte look I did a while ago with Glamour Doll Eyes :) I love me some mattes, and I love me some green eyeshadow, so it's weird that I hardly ever wear them. I guess I just sit there at my computer and froth at the mouth over other people wearing green/matte eyeshadow (kidding....er, kinda) and then never slap it on my own face. BUT I DID FOR ONCE. So here you go.

Products:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yellow
  • Glamour Doll Eyes Olivia Green - lid + lower lashline
  • Glamour Doll Eyes Radioactive - crease
  • Glamour Doll Eyes Martini Olive - crease
  • Sugarpill Lumi - inner corner highlight
  • Sugarpill Bulletproof - to tightline
  • BYS black kohl liner - lower lashline
  • Avon Supershock mascara

I leave for Malaysia on Wednesday, so I'm not sure how frequent my posting may be. I don't really want to just schedule a whole bunch of posts for the duration of my trip, because I'm weird like that and I like to scare you all with details about my daily life *evil laugh* I'll be wearing makeup every single damn day though, so I hope to have a fucktonne of looks documented for when I come back.

Anyone have any experience with shopping in Malaysia? I've had some great advice from Evening Lavender so far :)

You're SO Lucky I Found Jesus

I had an amazing day yesterday - I'd arranged to have a picnic with some of my best friends from high school, and they were wearing their grade 12 commemorative jerseys to celebrate. Unfortunately I fucking hated that school with the fire of a thousand suns, so I never bought one, but I did similar coloured eyeshadow to celebrate :) I intended it to be a blue-green-yellow gradation, much like the colour scheme in my Creepy Candy Man and Your Mum looks, but the yellow transformed into a nice chartreuse colour. Unexpected, but I quite liked it

Super high raised eyebrows!

Products:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Revlon Cream Shadow Quad in Sunsparks

    • Blue shade all over the lid as a base

  • Sugarpill Afterparty - lid
  • Sugarpill Midori - crease + lower lashline
  • Sugarpill Buttercupcake - upper crease/around the edge of Midori
  • Sugarpill Bulletproof - to tightline
  • Avon Supershock mascara
I also had an inner corner highlight too, but I wanted it to be super subtle so I won't bother listing it. Plus it's from an Avon trio I wouldn't recommend unless you like super sheer neutrals ;P

Sorry that it looks like the yellow/chartreuse on one side is insanely brighter than the other, I stared in the mirror for a while and determined that it in fact, wasnt. :| and it looks unblended, because of the way my camera picks up shimmers in the crease. *headdesks* I'ma recreate this using a darker matte green in the crease sometime, and hopefully it won't look like I'm completely unco.

40million points if you get what the title is a reference to, without Googling. Trust me, it's reallllllllly bad.

Also, I'm really disappointed by the happenings in the MMU world :( that's all I'll say for now
