Carnivale

Recently Rae from The Notice posted this awesome smokey eye where she used gold in the centre of the lid. It reminded me of a look I attempted a year ago, but never posted because it photographed like poo. Her post inspired me get off my arse and finally recreate it! I used the exact same shades from the original look, which were thankfully still lying around in my stash. I didn't get a tonne of good eye shots this time round, but it didn't photograph half as badly as the original look did.

The colour placement somehow reminds me of a circus or carnival. Conveniently enough there's one going on in Brisbane at the moment, but I'm not going (too stingey to pay jacked up fair prices and buy showbags!) :P

The silly faces have returned for good!

I'll be doing promotional work tomorrow with members of the public, so I have to tone down my makeup and look somewhat ~polished and presentable for once. I bet this is going to somehow end up with me doing a bold brown smokey eye by accident though. Does anybody else do that? I start out doing a neutral eye and then am like "Ooops, I just globbed this dark ass brown halfway up my browbone. Oh well, Kim Kardashian-esque smokey eyes are totally appropriate for standing on a stall in the sun all day :|"
