Sleek Saturday With Liloo

I was so excited when Liloo asked me to participate in her Sleek Saturday series, but there was one problem - I didn't have a Sleek palette! (Yeah yeah, talk about late to the party). Fortunately, Liloo was lovely enough to send me the Curious palette so I could participate in the series. I can definitely relate to the sentiment behind Sleek Saturday, because god knows many of my other palettes have suffered the same fate: buy palette, gush about palette, shove palette in drawer, never to be seen again. Hopefully this look inspires at least one person to dig out the Curious palette, because it's a really beautiful assortment of colours.

When I first opened the palette, my eyes were immediately drawn to the beachy, summery brights. They would've made for a lovely beachy look when combined with that peachy tan shade on the lid, but I wanted to do something slightly different. I had originally planned to use the pinky purple alone in the crease, but then thought to myself "oh hey, remember how having a darker colour on the lid and light colour in the crease sometimes makes you look like a mutant? Stop that." So I added a bit of the cornflower blue to connect the lid and crease, and a tiny bit of the blackened cranberry for extra definition. It couldn't hurt to use as many shades from the palette as humanly possible, right?

Eh, couldn't get a better (aka not so washed out) photo of the palette. D:
They're just a touch darker irl

Ideally I would've used a separate yellow, teal and blue eyeliner as a base for each of the colours on my lower lashline, but I wanted to keep it relatively simple in case anyone wants to recreate it. And well, the fact that I even do that is kinda crazy :P

I hope you enjoyed the look, and thanks to Liloo for asking me to participate. I'm now inspired to dig out some of my old palettes and show them some love, and I can only hope my new Curious palette doesn't get shoved to the back of a drawer in a few weeks!
