Pink Lips, Firey Eyes

This work week was a week of Victorian Disco Cosmetics and MAC pretties here in the House of Dazzlepants. I received my series of little MAC orders in the mail, and made a concerted effort to use my Victorian Disco Cosmetics review samples so I can actually review them. (Novel concept, huh? ;]) Without even meaning to, it ended up being a week full of bright pink lips, firey eyes, golden eyes and warm brown liner!

I don't have anything more to say, so onto the makeup!

Monday: On Monday I dug my poor neglected lil' MAC Pink Nouveau Lipstick out of a drawer, and slapped it on over NYX Hot Pink Lipliner. On its own, Pink Nouveau is a super bright satin Barbie Pink, so I was hoping the darker pink lipliner would help tone it down some....didn't work one bit XD ETA: my dumbass forgot to add that I'm wearing MAC Tread Gently Tendertone over the top, which accounts for the shine. *facepalm*

On the eyes I wore Victorian Disco Cosmetics Sailor Moon on the lid, inner corner and inner lower lashline over MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot. In the crease I wore Victorian Disco Baroque, and did the same on the lower lashline over Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Bourbon. I'm wearing the generic Truffle Gel Liner on the top lashline and lower waterline. On the cheeks I contoured with the NP Set Contour & Highlight Palette, used MAC Mineralize Blush in Subtle Breeze, and Prorance Sunny Glam Water Glow Skinfinish in M13 to highlight.

Tuesday: I was working technically unsupervised throughout the week (we use a chat function online), so I used Victorian Disco Cosmetics Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon for a firey eye. I packed Sailor Moon on the lid over Benefit Gilded Pencil. I wore Sailor Mars in the crease on its own, and then on the outer 2/3 of the lower lashline over Designer Brands Fire Red Lipliner. I used Sailor Venus on the inner lower lashline over the same red lipliner. I used the generic Truffle liner on the upper lashline, with the generic Silk White liner on the lower waterline.

On the cheeks I believe I used MAC Equilibrium Blush as a blush and contour, with MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base to highlight. The lips are MAC Viva Glam Gaga II Lipstick with Sportsgirl Give Some Lip Liquid Lip Colour in Nudie Run on top. It was far too nude, so I changed to a light coral nude lipgloss after I took photos.

Wednesday: This look didn't turn out how I'd imagined it at all, but I'll go into detail on that in an upcoming look dump with Victorian Disco Cosmetics. I used Victorian Disco Sailor Moon and Sailor Mars, but that's all that's worth mentioning. On the cheeks I contoured with Benefit Hoola, used Benefit Coralista for blush, and highlighted using MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base again. On the lips I only used Napoleon Perdis Protege Gloss without any lipstick, which accounts for why my lips are so blotchy. This was just a blah failed look in general =/

Thursday: We had a big event on Thursday evening which meant a hot and sweaty 12 hour work day, so I wanted something that was pretty, simple, and that wouldn't look horrible if it creased or slid off. I used Victorian Disco Cosmetics Baroque on the lid, crease and inner lower lashline over Bare Study Paint Pot. I deepened the crease and outer lower lashline with MAC Tempting, and threw Truffle Gel Liner on the upper lashline and lower waterline.

On the cheeks I repeated my combo of the NP Set Contour, MAC Subtle Breeze Mineralize Blush and Pearl Cream Colour Base. On the lips I used a craptonne of Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in #2 Pink, with MAC I Love Winter Lipstick and Jordana Lip Out Loud! Super Shiny Gloss in 106 ASAP on top.

Friday: Recently I bit the bullet, handed over far too much money and ordered the wonderfully bright Pink Pigeon Lipstick off the MAC Australian website after being unable to get a US CP for it. It arrived just before the end of the work week, so I had to bust it out on Friday. It's looking more neon pink here than it does in real life, where it's like Girl About Town's raver sister. I used a lip brush to apply Pink Pigeon over a couple of layers of Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in #2 Pink.

On the cheeks I used my NP Set Contour and Pearl CCB highlight combo, this time with MAC Dollymix Blush. On the eyes I wore a combo of Victorian Disco Cosmetics Baroque and Sailor Moon, with a touch of MAC Woodwinked. An Ebay order containing MAC Undercurrent Pearlglide Eyeliner had arrived during the week too, so I popped that on the waterline :)
